Another devastating wave of announcements has arrived for Obscene Extreme Festival 2026, and this latest batch dives headfirst into the filthiest depths of death metal, goregrind and total underground extremity. Across several announcements published throughout October, the legendary Czech festival added everything from South American death metal pioneers and Mexican goregrind veterans to grinding psychopaths, brutal pathologists and one of the heaviest old-school death metal assaults yet revealed for the Battlefield.
The carnage began on October 5 with the long-awaited confirmation of Colombian death metal cult legends MASACRE. Formed in Medellín in 1988 during one of the darkest and most violent periods in Colombian history, the band forged its sound directly from chaos, corruption and underground survival. For MASACRE, death metal was never about trends or commercial appeal — only raw brutality, hatred and uncompromising sonic destruction.
Across legendary releases such as “Colombia… Imperio del Terror”, “Reqviem”, “Sacro”, “Muerte Verdadera Muerte”, “Total Death” and “Brutal Aggre666ion”, the band carved its name permanently into the history of South American extreme music. For decades, MASACRE have remained one of the most respected names in the underground, influencing countless bands throughout Latin America and beyond with their savage riffs and merciless aggression.
Now, for the very first time ever, MASACRE will finally invade the Battlefield at Obscene Extreme Festival 2026. The organisers made it clear that this is not nostalgia or a reunion gimmick — this is still pure, filthy and violent death metal soaked in blood and reality. After waiting far too long, Europe will finally experience the Colombian death cult in full force.
Only a few days later, on October 10, the festival announced the return of Mexican goregrind legends OXIDISED RAZOR. One of the most recognisable names in old-school goregrind from Latin America, the band has been destroying audiences since 1998 with their low-pitched, rotten and corpse-like sound inspired by genre-defining acts such as Carcass and Impetigo.
The organisers once again emphasised the importance of Mexican bands within the history of Obscene Extreme Festival, noting that hardly a single edition exists without representation from that part of the world. OXIDISED RAZOR now returns to Trutnov ready to deliver another dose of disgusting gore-soaked chaos for the Battlefield masses.
That same day, Obscene Extreme Festival also surprised fans with a special announcement unrelated to the line-up itself. The organisers revealed that only a few last pieces remained of “Booze Duster”, the festival’s own beer brewed in collaboration with the Elektrárna brewery. Fans who did not get the chance to try the Australian Pale Lager during the previous edition were given one final opportunity to grab the remaining stock before it disappears completely. According to the announcement, the beer was being sold for 75 CZK — approximately 3 euros — per can, making it one last toast before the next descent into chaos at the Battlefield.
The gore-soaked insanity continued on October 11 with the addition of Hungarian pathological maniacs PAEDIATRICIAN. Emerging from Budapest roughly a decade ago, the band has built a reputation through its grotesque mixture of brutal death metal, gore aesthetics and surprisingly catchy songwriting. Over the years, the group released seven “goremantic” albums while constantly evolving through multiple line-up changes, particularly behind the microphone.
Since vocalist Norbert joined the band in 2014 and bassist Tamás later completed the current line-up, PAEDIATRICIAN have become an increasingly active force on festival and concert stages throughout the underground. According to the organisers, the band’s first-ever appearance in Trutnov will bring surgical levels of brutality and plenty of twisted fun to the Battlefield. Naturally, the announcement also referenced the band’s infamous and nearly unreadable logo, joking that only a handful of humans have ever managed to decipher it correctly.
On October 12 came another massive blow with the confirmation of American death metal veterans JUNGLE ROT. Hailing from Kenosha, Wisconsin, the band has spent more than three decades delivering crushing death metal built from old-school thrash, crossover, crust punk attitude and devastating groove.
With eleven albums behind them and their latest release “A Call to Arms” continuing to tear through the underground scene, JUNGLE ROT remain one of the most dependable and destructive names in American death metal. The organisers described their riffs as tanks rolling across the Battlefield and their live shows as complete chaos delivered with surgical precision.
Despite their legendary status, JUNGLE ROT will be performing at Obscene Extreme Festival for the very first time in 2026, finally bringing their trademark neck-breaking grooves and uncompromising brutality to Trutnov.
The following day introduced another young but rapidly rising force in the grindcore underground: German blast machine BOTULISM. Formed only in 2022, the band has already released multiple demos and vinyl recordings packed with ferocious speed, hardcore frenzy and occasional death metal sludge.
Even though they are still newcomers, BOTULISM have already developed a strong live reputation through relentless touring and explosive performances loaded with nonstop blastbeats. Their debut appearance at Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 is expected to become one of the most chaotic grindcore sets of the entire event.
Finally, on October 14, the festival descended fully into deathgrind horror with the addition of Los Angeles filth merchants MORGUE BREATH. Drawing inspiration from late-80s Napalm Death, S.O.B., early Brutal Truth and especially Terrorizer, the band specialises in rotten, occult-infested deathgrind played without compromise or modern polish.
Since forming in 2019, MORGUE BREATH have unleashed a stream of splits, EPs and the full-length “Plaga Sin Rostro”, alongside a split release with ナンプラーちゃん, steadily increasing their reputation inside the underground deathgrind scene. Their sound is built around chainsaw guitar tone, jackhammer drumming and vocals that sound as if they crawled directly out of a grave.
The organisers described the band as the embodiment of exactly what Obscene Extreme Festival stands for: rawness, filth, violence and absolute underground spirit. At Obscene Extreme Festival 2026, MORGUE BREATH will not arrive to entertain politely — they are coming to completely rip the Battlefield apart.
With every passing announcement, Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 continues expanding into a monstrous celebration of every possible form of underground extremity, uniting legendary pioneers, cult veterans and dangerous new blood from every corner of the globe.
