Siguiendo su precisa hoja de ruta y tal como nos tienen acostumbrados, después de dos años transcurridos desde su anterior disco “Precious Metal”, los californianos vuelven a la carga con su nueva obra “Indestructible”. “Indestructible” nos muestra de nuevo el sonido más clásico de la formación, en donde logran ensalzar de nuevo su estilo ampuloso, a medias entre el heavy suave y el hard rock con mucha melodía, por medio de temas majestuosos que contienen melodías que atrapan al oyente y vuelven a servirse como siempre de un montón de arreglos para pulirlo. La banda celebra su décimo lanzamiento con su nuevo redondo, que según palabras de James Christian lleva este título para reivindicar que a pesar de las dificultades del panorama musical, ellos siguen en la brecha peleando como el primer día. Como indicado anteriormente, hay cortes que suenan más heavy como “Go to Hell” o “Ain’t Suicidal” combinados con otros donde el sentimiento invade literalmente las canciones. “We Will Always Be One” o “Eye of the Storm” son dos buenos ejemplos de los himnos a los que acostumbran los californianos. A medías entre ese heavy suave y ese hard rock melódicos se encuentra “Pillar of Salt”, tema que a su manera puede servir para resumir este excepcional disco.
Sin duda, una perita en dulce para los aficionados al hard rock melódico más exigente, de mano de una banda que casi nunca suele fallar.
